Line and Shape
What locations and subject matter did you choose to shoot for your photos?
The location is Disney World and the subject matter is the Epcot ball. It is also the construction of line and shape on the ball and the texture.
Describe the photos you took:What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
The photo is an image of the Epcot ball and getting close to see all the details such as line and texture. the distance was at a relatively close to the architecture.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)Are your photographs horizontal or vertical?
The point of view I had of the Epcot ball was at a low but looking up at an angle. This photo is at an vertical angle like most of my other line and shape pictures.
Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe.
I did consider trying to use the rule of thirds in most of my photos. The Epcot ball I tried using the rule of thirds by not putting it perfectly in the center.
Which one of of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer’s eye through the work?
I think the picture the picture that has the best dynamic angle is the Epcot ball. When you walk under the ball for the first time, the photo reminds me of that moment looking up at the architecture.

Pattern and Texture
Describe your best photo:
The pinecone photo has so much detail between the little slits in the pinecone. All the sticks together form this unique looking texture and the focus on the pinecone really adds to it as if the pinecone is the positive space and the sticks are the negative.
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
In the photo I was very close, almost practically on my knees super close to get the perfect shot I thought would look nice. Since I was so close, you could see so much detail and all the pattern on the pinecone and even the sticks around it.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)
My point of view when I took the photo was pretty much straight on but very close to it. I tried using the rule of thirds the best I could while adding the full figure of the pinecone which was the focus of the photo. I also was above a little bit since I wasn't fully straight on, but the distance makes it a little hard to notice.
Is your photograph horizontal or vertical?
The photograph that I took was vertical since I took it on my phone and I thought it would look better that way. It seemed that the vertical position showed the pinecone perfectly without having too much unwanted objects and scenery in the photo.
Does this photo follow the rule of thirds? Why or why not? (Describe).
I think the photo follows the rule of thirds a bit because even though the pinecone is sort of in the middle of the shot, it has this tilt so it's not perfectly in the center. Another thing is the pinecone leads off to the rule of thirds areas which makes the photo look nice.
Is this photo an example of pattern, texture and/or rhythm? Explain.
I think this photo is an example of pattern, texture and rhythm because the pinecone looks rough and yet kind of smooth and the slits in the pinecone add a pattern and rhythm to it as well. Not just the pinecone, but the sticks too which look sharp with their prickly parts.
Which image may be overexposed? (too bright) Why?
I think the tree that is broken may be overexposed because it is bright since it's a light color. I tried adding the burn tool as much as I could to make it have a contrast between light and dark.
Which area/areas is/are too bright?Which image is underexposed?(too dark) Which area/areas is/are too dark?
The areas that are too bright are where the inside of the tree is. The underexposed areas are below the broken tree and the holes have a dark look, but it does add contrast to the photo a little bit.
Which image is the best example of a properly exposed photo? Explain why.
I think the best example of the properly exposed photo in the pinecone photo because the lighting was nice, not too bright, not too dark. It also is most focused on the pinecone and is surrounded by sticks which adds this interesting, and properly exposed photo.
